Work in Progress - 23 September - Final Gala Preparations

The Thursday group were this week augmented by a number of L&BR Trust members in North Devon for the Gala weekend:
1. The loading dock siding will be used for 'Driver for a Fiver' with SID running up and down. HEDDON HALL moves Van 23 out of the siding.
2. HEDDON HALL pushes Van 23 up the transhipment siding to store in the car park for the Gala.
3. The Thursday Gang enjoy a briefing by Martyn Budd behind the stage.
4. Todays Guard was Richard Drewer enjoying a laugh by the signal cabin.
5. Keith Vingoe (in orange coat) fixing up replacement posters onto the stable notice board.
6. New posters put up on the boards at Woody Bay.
7. LYD at Woody Bay undergoing clearance tests.
8. The locomotive information display board now has an addition attached with LYD seen behind.
9. Nigel Thompson compiled some further information and photos for the LYD board.
10. Thursday Group volunteers observe the Talyllyn members adjusting point rodding for LYD's clearances outside the shed.
11. Martin Andrews has co-ordinated much of the Gala preparations this month.
12. The beer tent marquee has been installed on the gras area by the shed.
13. Martyn Budd, Frank Daff and Dave Blencowe discuss the progress of todays preparations.
14. Lindsay Palmer and Colin Rainsbury move the dumpy bag full of fallen leaves along the platform.
