The Chairman's wife Mrs Brenda Miles holding up the winning ticket in the Summer Draw at Woody Bay on August Bank Holiday.
The first prize of £1,000 was won by Mrs Carol Hancox of Warwick and the second prize (£500) went to longstanding Essex member Lawrence Beal.
The third prize (£250) was secured by Mr and Mrs D Crowe and fourth prizes of £50 each went to Ian Corderoy, Sandra Dandy, Simon Dyrnell and Nigel Thompson.
The Draw made a net profit for the Railway of £4,500. Particular thanks are due to Mike Smale, who did much of the administrative work.
