Working Weekend - Friday 26th Survey

Chris Duffell has sent us these photos taken during the Friday 26th November survey to provide information required prior to the design of Bridge 64 - which requires a new deck.

1. A trial hole was dug adjacent to the abutment to discover the amount of soil that has been washed in over the years...

2. ....thus reducing the headroom underneath the bridge deck.

3. Existing ground levels were measured at right angles to the bridge to ensure that the area between the abutments will drain and not pond.
