Chelfham Station building re-exposed to daylight - April 2021

On Saturday 24th April a team of L&BR volunteers and supporters assembled for a workday that would transform the station building at Chelfham to a similar condition as it was originally built in 1898, i.e. without the extensions added after the 1935 closure of the railway.

The heavy materials used to construct the extension erected to increase the footprint of the original station building were loaded into a heavy duty waste skip and are due to be removed from the station site as soon as possible.

The photographs shown below were taken throughout the day. No further explanations are provided as the work depicted in each image will be self-explanatory.
