ONGAR RAILWAY PRESERVATION SOCIETY

The Ongar Railway Preservation Society (ORPS) which was established in 1991 is now in the process of being wound up. Its funds are being donated to other railway preservation societies as per the result of a ballot of ORPS members, and I am pleased to inform you that the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Trust Ltd has been nominated to receive the sum of £400.

The cheque for £400 has now been received and we wish to put on record our thanks to the ORPS.

This generous donation, certainly deserves our thanks and appreciation, coming as it does from a group based on the other side of the country.
