Nigel Thompson once again provides this week's report:
The L&BR Trust's 0-6-0T Kerr Stuart locomotive (built 1915, restored 2009) was back in service today operating the passenger trains.
1. AXE looking splendid in the Exmoor sunshine with the train crew- Guard Bob Ayres, Driver Graham Bridge and Fireman Chris Klein.
2. AXE arrives at Woody Bay with the train.
3. The signalling team of Don Newnham and Dick Gunn were collecting some steel rodding and tools for their latest projects.
4. In the paint shop, Jim Pounds and Geoff Long are busy renovating some small projects such as a lamp and cast iron railway signs.
5. It was a lovely day to be outside down the line. Most of the Thursday gang were tackling more track maintenance such as jacking, packing and tamping here.
6. Within the re-sleepering gang, four of the volunteers, Pete, Don, Tim and Kevin were all from Minehead.
7. Your reporter Nigel (centre) also joined in to help dig and hammer out the old sleeper.
