Training was delivered by Lee Millard, the First Capital Connect Access and Inclusions Manager, which was provided free of charge by First Group as a specially tailored course drawing on both general accessibility training, and specialist rail industry training.
The day is another example of where the railway is striving to encourage the very highest standards in customer service and the best in visitor experience.
Several volunteers on the course were surprised how useful, comprehensive and fun the training proved to be.
The railway would additionally like to thank South West Trains who provided visual aids for the course, and also Barnstaple Shop Mobility who helped in providing wheelchairs.
