March Work Weekend Report & photos

It's pleasing to be able to report that the working weekend has seen the completion of the project to re-fence the entire running line.

The last of the life-expired wooden posts installed some 10 years ago have all been replaced with concrete posts and steel droppers to recreate an SR style fence which will last for many years to come.

With reasonable weather and a good turn out progress was even more rapid than we had hoped for and by early Saturday afternoon in excess of 100 wooden posts had been removed and some 81 concrete posts installed. Tensioning the wires, fitting droppers and finally attaching sheep netting completed the fence project.

As always a huge thank you to all those who gave their time to make the weekend a success. I look forward to seeing you all again in November. Cheers!
